June 1st 2002 This group photo of Hawick Pipe band members and Junior band members was taken in the car park of the Hawick Conservative Club just prior to them setting off on their arduous journey to Denholm. A walk that was to prove too much for some of our juniors. |

Aggy Glendinning leads the way, keeping the kids entertained as he goes. "Oh the wander lust is on me" is the song I think he was murdering at this point which is probably why there are only about a third of the walkers in this picture |

| The band played to an appreciative group of spectators on the village green for about half an hour before calling it a day. Later that day they played the Cornet and his followers from the Station along Hawick high street to the Tower Knowe. |  |
