Piper at Sunset

Engagements & Competitions

Things seem to go pretty well when ever Hawick Pipe Band pay homage to the town of Annan. As the picture shows, this day was a rather successful one as the band won grade four, came third in grade three, and the drummers won a prize for best drum corps in grade four.

Cheesey grins from all

In the picture above: Holding the McCubbin Shield for winning grade four is piper Bobby Millar, and looking chuffed to bits with his Michelle McQuade Trophy is Drum Sergeant Derrick McGeorge, and last but not least on the left is Pipe Major Cammy Renwick holding the Annan Town Council Trophy and he's making sure that nobody else is getting a go of holding it. We thank everybody who participated on the day, well played lads and if we can repeat the grade four performance at our next competition, there's not going to be much to worry about.

Unfortunately due to the euphoria that the band was experiencing at the prize giving, nobody seemed to care about the other results in grade four, however, this is being addressed and they shall be posted here A.S.A.P
